Along the way:
During the 2008-09 school year I was one of six math teachers selected to pilot the new Advanced Algebra Applications course. We developed it over the course of a summer and the school year. The course is composed of four different sections, financial literacy, math in art, math in technology, and math in the human body / health. Pearson Publishing allowed us to create our own textbook for the course.
