NVHS Speech & Debate
The NVHS Speech & Debate Team is open to all grades & experience levels. Our aim is to teach public speaking, critical thinking & analysis of current events while sharpening these skills in the forum of competitive debate.
During the competitive season -- September through April -- practice is held every Tuesday and Thursday from 2:30 - 3:30 pm and Thursdays second break in Room 118.
Our team is a member of the Sagebrush League of Northern NV as well as the National Forensics League.

New members are always welcome!
Team members compete at the Novice and Senior level against students from high schools in the Sagebrush League of the NFL. Speaking opportunities are available in debate and individual events. Student speakers will qualify for membership in the National Forensic League when they have earned 25 NFL points.
